Looks like January is an anime month. I've completed four series, and finished the first season of two more. Also stared one things from my watchlist (Black Lagoon).

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann managed to rocket its way up to become my favorite anime right now. Let's see how long it keeps that position.

I haven't watched Gurren Lagann in ages, but it's still one of my faves. (I sort of wonder how it holds up...)

Same with Nadesico. Sometimes it forgets to be a parody and, well... then suddenly its Nadesico. Also, if you're going to watch the movie, try to find some articles about it and what didn't get localized so it'll make a smidge more sense.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't have access to my laptop for a few days.

I'm already two-thirds of the way through Nadesico, really enjoying it so far.

I realized that I haven't actually watched a lot of mecha anime, I've only really completed Neon Genesis Evangelion, Code Geass, and now Gurren Lagann, I've never even finished a Gundam series. Definitely going to check out more now.

Now I definitely want to watch Nadesico again. It's been too long.

(Same for all of those you mentioned, really. I watched Geass mostly as it aired, caught Gurren Lagann just after... and haven't gone back.)

Yaaay! I look forward to more mecha adventures. I need to check out more of the current stuff. I'm really behind.

I'm actually waiting for Netflix to finally release NGE, since I haven't seen it in over 15 years. I still need to watch the TTGL compilation movies and the new Code Geass movies that they are releasing now.

As for newer mecha shows, I watched the first season of Aldnoah Zero last year and thought it was just okay, and I have Darling in the Franxxx on my list. I'm coming up with a list of older mecha series to watch and its already ridiculously long.

I managed to put off watching Eva until about a decade ago and just sort of went 'huh, okay, I can see why it was such a thing to so many people in a certain age range when it was released, but... okay?'. I wouldn't mind watching it again though, at some point. I never did watch the OVAs/final movie.
